This is certainly the case in Decatur, IL, where there is no shortage of fun waiting for you. These holiday happenings will help you get ready for the most exciting day of the year.

Firstly, there’s no better way to get excited for Christmas than to participate in the Christmas Season Kick Off. During the event, there will be an official ribbon cutting at the Golden K Kiwanis gathering. Take part in this ceremony so you can jump-start your holiday celebrations.

Christmas Movie Concert

When you think about Christmas, a lot of things probably come to mind. Along with gifts, decorations, good food, and parties, music is a big part of this holiday. Christmas music spreads cheer and gets people in the mood for the season. On Sunday, Nov. 13, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., you can listen to cheerful Christmas music at a concert sponsored by the Salvation Army. It will take place at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 650 N. Wyckles Rd.

For example, you’ll see gorgeous floats, get a glimpse of local celebrities, hear fun-filled Christmas music, and have sweet candy to eat.
